6 days of well-being in Abano Terme
On the 26th of June the Gran Fondo City of Padua will take place in the charming countryside of the Euganean Hills, an exciting cycling competition that will also pass through Abano Terme. Ariston Molino Hotel has also a special offer for those who want to partecipate, with training and transport to the starting place.
The Gran Fondo City of Padua is an exciting cycling race that has reached in 2016 the third edition and takes place in the surroundings of the city of Padua. This amazing journey manages to coexist the technical requisites of a Road bicycle racingwith some breathtaking landscape, that of the Euganean Hills, of the Terme and Città Del Santo, making this competition a one of a kind.
The 2016 edition will start at 8.00AM o'clock of June 26th and the end of the event is estimated to be at 3.00 PM. Like every year, while waiting for the return of cyclists, there will be in the square a "pasta party" and many stands that serve drinks and refreshments.
Participants will be divided according to their capabilities on two different paths: the first, 145 km long and a vertical drop of 1,935 meters, and a second, for those who are less trained, of 97 km and 1340 meters in altitude.
Both routes will stop in Abano Terme and in the afternoon you can greet the cyclists whisking in the streets near our hotel.
The meeting will still be in Prato della Valle, the largest and most beautiful square of Padua, which will house the village where pre and post-race services are set, a unique area with a logistics that will help organizing all participants and the audience.
Some service information. The traffic will be diverted in the city center for the time strictly necessary to the transit of the race between 8 and 9PM (starting), and between 11AM and 4PM (arrival). The Red Cross will provide the health care service for the entire event, coordinating the teams through the Provincial Operations Room CRI.
Starting this year, Dr. Claudia D'Angelo will look after guests at hotel and support them while following the famous Zone Diet, the original one by Barry Sears.
